Booster Pack Disgaea

This week, we continue the previews for Disgaea with cards featuring the lovable Prinnies, dood!

Don’t be fooled by their adorable appearance –Prinnies are actually artificial bodies that house the souls of sinners who have passed on, doomed to servitude until they earn their right to reincarnate. For some odd reason, Prinnies explode when they are thrown– just one of the many types of abuse that their mistress, Etna, subjects them to.

Let’s take a quick look at some of the Prinny characters and support cards featured in the upcoming Disgaea booster!

Prinny Squad

ThePrinny Squad character is your basic bread-and-butter of the deck, dood. Normally, you would only be able to include 4 of a card with the same name in one deck, but with this card’s effect, you can populate your entire deck with cute Prinnies! They aren’t particularly strong, though, so you might want to hold onto that idea.

Prinny Squad also has an ability that literally lets you use your 《Prinny》 characters as ammunition to hurl at your opponents. By sending one 《Prinny》 character from the field to the waiting room, you can give one opponent character in the centre stage -1000 power. Use it enough times, and you can (probably) take down your opponent’s level 0 characters with ease, dood! (No, seriously, don’t try this, it’s not worth it,dood)

Pringer X

Questionable explanation by Etna of the origins of Pringer X aside, Pringer X is actually a pretty powerful card that can be used to protect the other characters on your field with its Great Performance ability! It has an ability that – unsurprisingly – places your other 《Prinny》 characters as markers to gain additional Soul for the turn. This ability can be repeated, as it is an ACT ability, so if you’re looking to deal a large chunk of damage to your opponent, look no further, dood.

These markers under Pringer X also give it +1500 each due to its ability, even during your opponent’s turn! As mentioned earlier, you can use its ACT ability repeatedly to add markers under this card, so you could use that to buff its power as well, dood! Just imagine the heights of power that this card can reach!

Overlord’s Vassal, Etna + Overlord Zenon Defeated!!

Don’t mess with Etna, or she’ll literally throw Prinnies at you! Overlord’s Vassal, Etna is able to give any 《Prinny》 the ability to put its same-level battle opponent to reverse when it becomes reverse in battle, dood. This enables the player to take down higher-powered characters with a far weaker card, and if coupled with an effect that allows you to give levels to a character, you could even take down higher levelled opponents!

Sending your other characters to their deaths will take its toll on your field presence and hand size, so it’s a good thing that Overlord’s Vassal, Etna comes with a climax synergy to search for more 《Prinny》 cards to throw around, dood. Talk about a self-sustaining system, dood!

“Beliefs of a Maiden”Fuka + Prinny Wars

Due to unusual circumstances, this particular Prinny was not forced into a Prinny suit, but simply wears a Prinny hat and a blue jacket over her regular clothes. Fuka still has the 《Prinny》 attribute, though, so she benefits from all the support afforded to 《Prinny》, dood! “Beliefs of a Maiden”Fuka gives the player the option of sending a level 2 or less character facing it on the field to the opponent’s deck, effectively getting rid of your opponent’s centre stage characters at the cost of 1 hand card.

“Beliefs of a Maiden”Fuka also has a special Encore ability which helps to save on stock, since its cost involves placing a card from the top of your deck to the clock. A small price to pay for her strength, dood! As this card has the 《Prinny》 attribute, it is also fair game for Overlord’s Vassal, Etna’s effect, dood.

What’s Next?

And that’s it for this week’s preview! Will you be making a Prinny deck, dood? We hope you’re not gonna throw them around too much!

Stay tuned for more Disgaea previews next week!
